IRS Seminar – New Jersey Working Together

On January 4th, 2018, Leonard will be speaking at the annual IRS New Jersey Working Together Seminar. This seminar will be an all day seminar (breakfast and lunch included) from 7:30AM until 5:00PM at Seton Hall University. The Working Together program continues to promote the positive ongoing relationship between the tax practitioner community and the Internal Revenue Service. The annual program, open to both IRS employees and the practitioner community, has become a “mark your calendar” event for many New Jersey tax professionals. The intent is to engage in ongoing, meaningful dialogue aimed at improving our dealings with one another, thereby improving service to our common customer – the taxpayer public.

  • The focus of this Working Together program will be on:
  • Exam Panel discussion on Audit Technique Guides how to use them in business and in audits.
  • Collections Panel discussion on current procedures i.e. Private Debt Collection, Early Initiatives on Trust Fund Taxes.
  • Update on the 2017 Data Breach Cases.
  • Update from Criminal Investigations on emerging Tax Scams.
  • Hot Topics such as Tax Law Updates, ACA Marketplace and more.

Leonard will be leading the panel discussion on the Audit Techniques Guides and their usefulness to the practitioner community. Continuing Educations Credits are give.
