About UIH Family Partners:

Recent research indicates that children who grow up in a fatherless home are at risk in a variety of ways. In the State of New Jersey almost 25% of our children face these risks. These children are:

five times more likely to live in poverty;
three times more likely to fail in school;
two times more likely to develop emotional or behavioral behaviors;
two times more likely to abuse drugs;
two times more likely to be abused and neglected;
three times more likely to commit suicide.

UIH Family Partners in Trenton is a nationally-recognized leader in the field of fatherhood with programs that assist men to take an active role in raising their children. Programs are designed to encourage fathers to make a positive impact on their families through active participation in carefully designed sessions that assist with employment and job readiness, parenting skills, anger management and health and wellness among others. The result is communities that are strengthened by men who embrace the challenge of fatherhood; accept financial responsibility for themselves and their families and are committed to the long-term health and stability of their children, their families, and themselves as individuals.
